The cheapest quote was never the real cost. Now you can prove it.

Every specifier knows the moment. Two ovens on the table, one cheaper to buy, one that will save the client money for the next ten years and no easy way to make that case before the decision gets made. So the cheaper one wins, the running costs land later, and nobody connects the two.

That's the gap Niscai is built to close. Today we're launching a platform that shows specifiers the true whole-life cost and carbon of every piece of equipment they design in, built on data that gets stronger and faster with every project that runs through it.

Sticker price lies. Whole-life cost doesn't.

Niscai calculates the full picture for every model: purchase price plus energy, water, maintenance and parts over the life of the equipment, less what it's worth at end of life. That's the number that actually determines what a piece of kit costs a client, not the number on the quote.

It means you can specify the equipment that costs less to own, not just less to buy, and back it up with a figure the client can't easily argue with.

Carbon, in the same view

Whole-life carbon sits alongside the cost, embodied and operational, in tonnes CO2e, per model and rolled up per project. RIBA reporting, ESG targets, client sustainability commitments: they stop being a separate exercise bolted on at the end and start falling out of the same numbers you're already working with.

Built around how the site is actually run

Every project runs on a set of assumptions, how long the equipment will last, energy prices, trading days, hours of use, the carbon intensity of the grid. Set these once for a project and they apply across every item in it. Change one assumption and the whole project reprices instantly, so a busy city-centre site and a quiet rural one can be modelled properly, rather than both getting the same generic default.

Ask once. Never ask again.

This is the part that changes the economics of the whole process. Today, every specifier chasing manufacturer data does it from scratch, on every project, waiting on replies each time. Niscai holds that data once it's provided. You never need to resubmit it.

If a model isn't on the platform yet, you're not stuck. Request it, and it joins your project as awaiting data while we chase the manufacturer down through our direct relationships with them, the project keeps moving instead of stalling on one missing spec sheet.

Compare, swap, decide on evidence

For any model in a project, Niscai lines up the alternatives, each priced whole-life against your own project assumptions, each showing exactly what it saves or costs against your current pick. See it, and swap it in, without leaving the project or building a side-by-side spreadsheet yourself.

Neutral by design

Niscai isn't paid by manufacturers to rank anyone, and it doesn't recommend products. What it does is show you the number, tell you how strong that number is, and where it came from. Every figure carries a confidence level, from a generic placeholder up to lab-audited data and every carbon figure is tagged with its source: manufacturer-declared, a third-party EPD, or Niscai's own TM65 product carbon footprint. You get to see exactly how solid the ground is you're standing on before you put a number in front of a client.

Your numbers stay yours

Your unit prices and cost figures are private by default, never shared with manufacturers or other buyers on the platform. And where you've got better data than we do, you can override any figure with your own, line by line.Trust the platform's numbers, or use yours. Either way, the model is built on what you actually know.

From project to client, in one click

Once a project is built, a shareable summary turns it into a client-ready read-out cost by category, carbon by stage, confidence at a glance, without building a separate report. And your whole book of work sits in one portfolio view, grouped by client, so you can see where every project stands at a glance instead of hunting across a pile of spreadsheets.

Why this matters now

Energy costs keep climbing, clients are under real pressure to cut running costs, and every purchasing decision is being scrutinised harder than it used to be. Specifying on sticker price alone is a harder case to make in that environment, but building the whole-life evidence has always taken time most projects don't have. Niscai closes that gap: the cost and carbon case gets made automatically, the data gets easier to find with every project rather than harder, and the evidence is there the moment a client asks the question that used to be hard to answer.
